Stage 2, More sewing. Learn to insert a zip, add some embroidery and use different fabrics to glam up your project. Pick from zip pouches, cushions and easy presents for Christmas.

Beginners workshops. Price inclusive of all material.
Booking survival sewing skills please bring three garments that you want to adjust at the workshop. Will be working on sample swatches and then working on your garments. Email me if you need info.
For Stage 2
Participants will need to be able to thread a machine and sew on it. Will also need to bring in the fabric of choice, zipper and thread to match for womens skirt, fabric and thread for little girl skirt and dresses.
Zipper clinic- Pouch workshop- we will be making a soft zip pouch with some embellishments and adding buttons and button holes to the skills learned.
Dresden Flower zipped cushion workshop- will be making fabulous dresden flower embellished cushions using different fabrics to create a very special cushion.
Easy tie back curtains- Two part workshop. Please email me with window size for fabric requirement. You will need main fabric, lining, header tape and thread for this workshop.
The womens skirt workshop is a two part workshop. We will take your measurements and show you how to draft a pattern to fit your body. We will then cut a pattern and prepare it for the sewing workshop. In the second part we will lay cut and sew our skirt. This workshop will include basic patterning, laying, cutting, zip insertion, button holes and bias binding dependent on the pattern. Please bring a medium weight cotton or linen fabric for this project. If you would like to use another fabric please email me before booking.
need to bring- 1.25 m of 45" fabric, a matching zipper and thread, 0.50M of medium interfacing (sew on or iron on ok)
Summer skirt workshop. No pattering involved. Cut out your size (UK size 8-22) and make a skirt with a zipper and a button at the top. Please ensure you bring a medium/thick weight cotton fabric for this project.
Need to bring- sizes 8-14 = 0.75M of 45" fabric, 60cmx 15 cm of medium interfacing.7" zipper and thread to match and one button
Sizes 16-22- 1.25M of 45" fabric. 60cmx 15 cm of medium interfacing.7" zipper and thread to match and one button
Terrific Tunic- No pattering involved. Cut your size and sew! This pattern can be made with or without sleeves. Please bring along a cotton or linen fabric for this project.
Need to bring. For sleeveless version-
Sizes 8-14 =1.3M of 45" fabric. 1 M of 25" interlining. 12" Zipper Optional is 1.5M of Lace
Size 16- 22 1.6M of 45" fabric 1 M of 25" interlining. 12" Zipper. Optional is 1.5M of Lace
Need to bring for Sleeved Version-
Size 8-12 =1.7M of 45" fabric. 12" zipper. 1.2M of braid /lace
Size 14-16= 2M of 45" fabric 12" zipper. 1.2M of braid /lace
Size 18-22 = 2.4M of 45" fabric 12" zipper. 1.2M of braid /lace
Summer Dress- a lovely cross over easy to wear dress that you will wear out. Again this style can be made with or without sleeves. Cottons linens and blends would work well in this style.
Need to bring. For sleeveless version-
Size 8-16 = 3.6 M of 45" fabric or 2.50M of 60" fabric. one 1/2" button, one pkg of 1/4" elastic, one pkg each of 1/2" and 7/8" bias tape.
Size 18-22 = 3.7M of 45" fabric or 2.60 M of 60" fabric. one 1/2" button, one pkg of 1/4" elastic, one pkg each of 1/2" and 7/8" bias tape.
Need to bring for the sleeved version-
Sizes 8-18= 2.7M of 45" fabric or 2.10 M of 60" fabric one 1/2" button, one pkg of 1/4" elastic, one pkg of 1/2" bias tape, thread all to match.
Sizes 18-23=3M of 45" fabric or 2.20mof 60" fabric. one 1/2" button, one pkg of 1/4" elastic, one pkg of 1/2"bais tape thread all to match.
For the Seams sewing group, please bring in your project and everything you need to sew it with, machine provided! I will be around to help you with cutting and sewing your project, just email me when you book what you are going to be bringing in and if you need any help with the patterning.
Participating member will have their own machine to work on.
