Some new classes for adults and some old ones repeated. As the run up to Christmas starts come in and make a couple of handmade presents that will really make a personal gift. Look at the workshops page for more info.
The 8+ and 11+ classes are going strong, there are still places left on the new Saturday morning learn to sew class for kids, please contact us for more info or to book.
The second year of the teen's learn to sew has also started. This year we concentrate on clothing. During this year we will learn to up cycle clothing and embellish them, pattern and sew and work with commercial patterns. Please check out our Facebook page for the new pictures of these classes.
"Just a few words to say that my Lauren has enjoyed learning to sew from the simple basics and is now progressing to more complicated things. This is an ideal way for children to learn to sew. My daughter is looking forward to the next term when they will be making an item of clothing to wear. I would highly recommend this class to anyone, its a shame there's not more of them."

"Our daughter enjoys making things so enrolling in the needlework class has been a great success with her collection of hand sewn goodies continuing to delight: rag dolls, cushions, draught excluder, room tidy, bag and soon to design and make her own clothes."
With best wishes J. Edmonds
"Emily has loved coming to your classes. She already enjoyed sewing, but has gained so many skills and so much more confidence it's lovely. It's great for the girls to have to opportunity to do something creative with a real purpose that is not academic. It gives them the chance to leave school work behind and do something different. She has made many gifts for members of the family which have all been greatly admired. I know she looks forward to coming every week and is already looking forward to future projects."
Thanks very much. S. Smith
"This was an enjoyable experience and I felt I gained a lot from it. Aliza is a friendly and helpful teacher. I would recommend her teenagers course to anyone interested in textile design."
Lauren (15)
"I found Aliza to be very approachable and flexible. She taught my daughter all the ins and outs of sewing...the kind of things they often don't have time to teach in school. Nowadays, she doesn't hesitate to customise her own clothes, or moan about sewing on the odd button for me!"
